2012 Agility

2012 AGILITY SPRINGER OF THE YEAR
MACH7 CEDARWOODS CHAOTIC CRESCENDO MXS3 MJB4 MXF TQX T2B
Chaos
Owned by Jan Baker & Jackie Alschuler

Thank you for honoring Chaos with this award. We are amazed that she has won the ESSFTA Agility Springer of the Year award for three years in a row. But that is so like Chaos –the epitome of consistency.

Chaos earned her MACH 6 and MACH 7 in 2012. She also earned the coveted TQX title by qualifying three times in a day on ten different occasions. This title indicates that she has the ability to work at a distance from her handler and consistency in qualifying.

We were proud to be one of the top five Springers competing at the AKC Agility Invitational in Orlando, Florida in December 2012. Chaos finished 17th out of 108 dogs in the 20” height group and was the top Springer at the event.

We would like to thank our breeder, Pat Welch of Cedarwood ESS for this fabulous girl. Not only is Chaos an outstanding agility teammate, but she is an extremely sweet and loving companion.

2012 EXCELLENT AGILITY SPRINGER
MACH2 AUBREY’S RUN FOR THE ROSES CDX RA MXG MJS MXF
Rose
Owned by Karen Schelling

My deepest appreciation to ESSFTA for selecting Rose as the recipient of the Excellent Agility Springer of the Year Award. Rose continues to represent her breed as a top level agility dog; her drive, speed and precision in handling set her apart from many of her fellow competitors. She routinely places and wins against other top level teams in a highly competitive agility field.

Rose has a very supportive and loyal following and continues to demonstrate the spirit and determination necessary to compete as an “atypical” agility dog. These qualities propelled Rose to an additional MACH this year, two MACHs in a 12 month period, and a place among the best in the nation as an AKC National Agility finalist for 2013.

She is a great ambassador for her breed and truly a “once in a lifetime” dog. Thanks again to ESSFTA for honoring my Rose.

2012 OPEN AGILITY SPRINGER
TOPGUNS TAKE MY BREATH AWAY RE AX MXJ OF
Josie
Owned by Thomas Bielecky & Margaret Bielecky

We are so thrilled to have Josie named Open Agility Springer of 2012. Josie has brought so much happiness to our home. She is quite a character, very sweet and a wonderful addition to our family.

Josie displayed many natural talents at a very young age. She started out competing in Rally and earned her Rally Excellent title when she was just over a year old. Josie started competing very successfully in agility at the age of 15 months. She earned her Open titles by the time she was 17 months old with all blue ribbons. Josie also earned both her Excellent titles at 17 months old. What an exciting start to her agility career.

One of the favourite places for both of my Springers is the beach. They love to chase the birds, dig in the sand and swim. We are having so much fun together.

2012 NOVICE AGILITY SPRINGER
STORMWYNDS VICTORY DANCE MX OMXJ NF
Nika
Owned by P Ornberg & Dr. Allison J Milne VMD

I am honored to receive this award and thank ESSFTA for this recognition.

I am the proud owner/breeder along with Dr. Allison Milne VMD. Nika is my second agility dog. Her Dam, MACH Stormwynd Serendipity, CD was honored with the Open Title in 2005.

Nika loves agility and all I have to do is mention tunnel, weave or any command she is running to the door barking with excitement. She has great enthusiasm for the sport and gives it her all every time we enter the ring. I started showing her in Novice, in February 2012 and she just earned her MACH on May 25, 2013 one week after her 4th birthday. She also was awarded the ESSFTA Multi-titlist Award earning Nine Titles in 2012. I am very proud of her.

We went to the Nationals this year which was a wonderful experience and, we are looking forward to the ESSFTA Nationals in the fall.

Nika loves to run along side the bike, chasing critters in the yard or geese in the fields.

Thank you again for this honor.

2012 PREFERRED AGILITY SPRINGER OF THE YEAR
AUBREY’S LEGENDARY SOLDIER CD RA AX AXJ MXPB PAX OF NFP
Patton
Owned by Andrew Miele

My first agility trial was at the ESSFTA National in 2000 with my first agility dog Harley. We qualified in our first run and the addiction began. Over the years we had many great runs that lead me to redirect my hobby from motorcycles to agility on every available weekend. 13 years later I still actively compete, instruct and occasionally dust off my motorcycle.

Patton is my first agility champion and AKC National qualifier placing 13th overall in 2012. He is filling the paw prints of his ‘Uncle Harley’ in his own noisy way as spectators are entertained by his barking orders during our runs. Born on Memorial Day 2006 while I enjoyed a day filled with WW2 movies, the litter was originally identified by military call names. Living up to his namesake, Patton has personality plus and is a darn good snuggler especially when watching Military Channel programs.

After achieving basic obedience and rally titles, Patton’s true talents were revealed in the agility ring. Showing at the Preferred level was a decision made to extend his agility career.

We are happy and honored to be recognized by ESSFTA for our agility accomplishment and hope to continue to proudly represent our breed for years to come.
