RUNNER-UP SHOW DOG OF THE YEAR
CH TELLTALE SALUTE |

Owners: Celie Florence, Delores Streng & Robin Novack |
2005
was an exciting year for RB. He ended 2005 as America's number one
sporting dog, and number five dog all breeds. Throughout the year he
accumulated numerous group wins, 43 Best in Shows and multiple specialty
wins.
Our biggest thrill was winning the 2005 national specialty
under Ms Bonnie Threlfall, and honor for his breeders, owners and
handler. He started the year winning BOB at American Spaniel Club under
breeder judge Ruth Kirby, and never looked back, a very exciting year
indeed.
He not only excelled in the show ring, but is also proving
himself as a sire. He already has five champions to date, three of them
with major specialty wins. We cannot wait to see how his children carry
on his name.
This dog is more than just a show dog or stud dog for his
owners, but a dog that makes us smile every day we are around him.
We would like to thank everyone who has supported him
throughout his career. He is now living up to his name as Robbins Boy
and is spoiled daily by all that love him. |

SHOW BITCH OF THE YEAR
CH KISMET LIMITED EDITION |

Owners: Libby O’Donnell Naimo & John Naimo and Katie Shepard |
"Lexus" retired from her career at Eastern in late June, as
we hoped to get a litter from her the end of last year. In just half a
year, she still won show bitch of 2005.
She had quite a career - placing in the group at the Garden,
winning an all-breed Best in Show, ESSFTA Show Springer in 2003 and 5
specialty Best of Breeds in the 1st few months of 2005 alone! A
t Eastern, we gave Lexus and a young lady their dream, and
signed over co-ownership to Katie Shepard, the talented assistant who
had shared her bed with Lexus for almost 2 years.
Lexus is a breeder's dream, with accomplishments such as
these, a temperament to die for plus all her health clearances. Her tail
wags constantly, and is a wonderful ambassador for our breed, never
having had a cross moment.
(P.S. - Kismet was pregnant at the time of this writing and we hope to
announce her puppies) |

RUNNER-UP SHOW BITCH OF THE YEAR
CH HILLCREST KOCRK PINEBEND BET |

Owner: Henriette Schmidt |
It was
a pleasant surprise to get the news that Betsy had won this award - as
she was shown less than half the year. She follows in the tradidion of
her predecessor, CH Hillcrest Happy-Go-Lucky CD WD who won this same
award in 1971, also shown less than half of that year.
Happy, also part English import breeding, appears in Betsy's
pedigree 8 times in the 7th generation, 9 times in the 8th generation,
and twice in the 10th generation.
These girls share the same attitude toward dog shows -
believing they are great places to have fun and make new friends! Betsy
loves her 'job', whinnying with anticipation when pulling into a show
site, and adores Karen (her dog show 'mother') and Jim Miller (her
ball-playing buddy). |

SHOW SIRE OF THE YEAR
CH SPRINGBROOK TAGALONG MY OWN MAGIC |

Owners: Sarah Kraft & Rebecca Hoskins |
Owen's
show career started at an early age when he went BOS at WESSAA from the
puppy classes behind a top-ranked specials bitch. He followed that up by
finishing his Championship at the National going Winners DOG at just 13
months old. Just two months later, he won his first Specialty Best of
Breed. And just weeks after that, his first group placement - all
owner-handled. He went on to win a big Specialty before the National,
and to be recognized by many judges in group competition. One of my
proudest moments with Owen was winning back-to-back all breed
Best-in-Show's - something I had dreamed of, but never thought would
actually happen.
As a sire, Owen has 14 Champions to date, and several more
that are pointed and major pointed. In 2005 his get were awarded BOW at
the National, a National AOM, as well as the WB at the Specialty prior
to the National. Several of his get have group placements, and he
currently has two that are nationally ranked as Specials. His get are
also competing in tracking, rally, agility and obedience. Owen is known
for producing beautiful movement, breed type, balance, and
easy-to-live-with temperaments - a testament to the top-producers he is
descended from.
I will be forever indebted to my friend, Owen's breeder and
co-owner, Rebecca Hoskins for entrusting me with a puppy who has been
all I could ever ask for. I am also ever grateful to the breeders who
have sent their beautiful bitches to Owen, and made this achievement
possible. |

RUNNER-UP SHOW SIRE OF THE YEAR
CH TIFFANY’S YOU’VE BEEN WARNED |

Owners: Robin Novack & Monica Bowers |
"Adam"
was from one of Dexter's first US-bred litters. Adam was a stunning
puppy and seemed to be pre-programmed for the show ring, winning
sweepstakes and three five-point specialty majors in his first outings.
He finished so quickly, that few actually got to see him in the ring. He
sired some remarkable get as a young dog, but really came into
popularity in the last several years. His group and specialty winning
get have proven to be a solid foundation for many breeding programs and
his impact on the breed is just now being felt.
From his beginnings at the ESSCM specialty as a puppy to the
National in Perry, GA where he won Best of Opposite in Veteran
Sweepstakes, Adam and Robin have always made an incredible team.
We are very proud of his contributions to the breed and to
the lives of people he has touched.
Bred by Robin Novack and Diane LaLonde. Co-owned throughout
much of career by Robin and Monica Bowers, Adam is owned now by Robin
Novack and Kathy Sochocki |

SHOW DAM OF THE YEAR
(4-way tie)
CH BLUEBELL’S DESIGNER CINNAMON |

Owners: Betsy Keith & Peggy Lange
|
"Mindy" completed her championship from the puppy class with three BOB's
from the classes.
She was bred to my own CH Designer's Cheque Mate and produced
a litter of five champion children.
The success of this litter can be advertised as producing-
From specialties - Two Best in Sweepstakes, Best Puppy, Five Specialty
Majors, and two different littermates winning their individual classes
at the 2004 national. Completing their championships - One with five
majors, others with three.
The true measure of success is in their wonderful
temperaments. Just turning three, their place as wonderful companions
and family members is what I am most proud of.
The success of a litter, starts with a pedigree, so I have to
share with some of my friends and fellow breeders in Texas, as they all
someway contributed in this pedigree.
Ashwyn (Jacquie Dean), Bluebell (Peggy Lange), Jubilee
(Margaret Gates), Kehre (Becca Gear), Wedgwood (Nancy Johnson) |

SHOW DAM OF THE YEAR
(4-way tie)
CH DIGNITY-N-STARDOM’S
STINKY-WINKY CD NA |

Owners: Gail Walston & Kathy Grayson
|
Winky went winners bitch at Golden Gate English Springer
Spaniel Accosiation Specialty in Oct of 2006 for her first major. She
then finished with a 4 point major in Dec 2000 at the Long Beach shows.
Her biggest achievements have been in the whelping box. She
has produced a number of Champions with several being specialty winners.
She has several more that are working on becoming champions.
She produced my first bred by champion, and my first owner
handled group I winner.
She has produced better than I could ever asked for. She makes me proud
to have her as my foundation bitch at Stardom Springer's. |

SHOW DAM OF THE YEAR
(4-way tie)
CH SILVERBOWS FOLLOW YOUR
HEART AX AXJ |

Owners: Nancy Kemp and Nancy & Jerry Amante |
We owe much thanks to Tony & Rita Vasquez of Vasdon and Nancy Kemp of
Silverbow for having Charlene here at Heartland. Little could we know
that she would be so much more than a great, multiple Specialty winning,
Best of Breed, Best of Opposite Sex and Group Placing show bitch, but
also the foundation of the Heartland line.
Like her father, CH Shala's Joker's Wild CD CGC (Charlie),
Charlene was nationally ranked. She also earned national honors as a
multiple titlist in 1999, 2000, and 2001. In 2002, Charlene was invited
to the AKC Eukanuba National Invitational Championship but sat it out to
have a fabulous litter of show dogs. With CH Gilchrist's Tomahawk
(himself a nationally ranked Sire of the Year in 2004), Charlene
produced eight magnificent puppies.
Now, a little more than three years later, six have completed
their championships and their two siblings are pointed and well on their
way. Two of the champions, following in Charlene's footsteps, are being
honored this year as multiple titlists.
Not only is Charlene a stellar conformation bitch, and a
wonderful dam with a sweet temperament, she is versatile and talented
too. She, as a veteran, recently completed her Masters Titles in
Standard and Jumpers with Weaves.
Charlene is, in short, a true reflection of a dog with great
heart...a clear example that she is her father's daughter and has passed
on his qualities, so evident all these years in Charlene , to this first
litter of Heartland champions!
Congratulations Charlene !.... and Thank You ! |

SHOW DAM OF THE YEAR
(4-way tie)
CH SPRINGBROOK’S CHRISTMAS
MAGIC |

Owner: Rebecca Hoskins |
Magic was born in my first home bred litter of English Springer Spaniels
out of my foundation bitch "Bobbie". She finished easily with some nice
wins along the way at specialties, and breed wins from the classes - But
her legacy is not in the show ring.
Magic was bred 5 times resulting in 18 champions, with two more on
their way. Magic's children have gone on to have successful show
careers; including multiple group, specialty, and All breed best in show
wins, national specialty winners dog and award of merit winners and
national rankings. Her children have also become noted producers
continuing to produce the effortless movement, balance and beautiful
heads that she has passed on. Her son "Owen" is also being recognized as
a top producer for 2005.
It is my hope that Magic has made a positive contribution to the
breed, and that she continues to do so through her children and grand
children. I am honored to receive this award on their behalf.
Thank you, Rebecca Hoskins |

RUNNER-UP SHOW DAM OF
THE YEAR (2-way tie)
CH BEAR MAJIC VISTAH’S
ENJOLI |

Owner: Judy Manley |
I knew the day Enjoli was born she was going to be a special little
girl. In the litter of 10 puppies she was the only liver and white one.
She was a beautiful puppy that grew prettier with age.
She got a first place in her puppy class at her first show
which was an ESSFTA national. Then it took 7 shows for her to complete
her championship. One of my proudest moments with her was winning a
supported entry with her for a 5 point major under Anne Rogers Clark at
the Detroit Kennel Club show in Cobo Hall.
She has passed on her beauty and soundness to her puppies.
Along with passing down her beautiful conformation she has also
passed on the ability to sing and unfortunately counter surfing. So now
I have more dogs that sing and clear off my kitchen counter.
I wish a dog like her for everyone.

RUNNER-UP SHOW DAM OF
THE YEAR (2-way tie)
CH STREAMLINE’S CELEBRATION |

Owners: Jeff & Renee Holt
|
When Lucy was whelped, we had high expectations. Lucy was one of five
puppies, four of which completed their AKC championship. She is probably
best known as the litter sister of two-time ESSFTA's Runner-Up Show Dog
of the Year, multiple BIS/BISS CH Streamline's Put'n on the Ritz
("Walker").
Lucy obtainer her championship from the bred-by class at 1
1/2 years old, obtaining her first major at only six months of age. She
is OFS-Excellent and continues to CERF as of March 2006.
Lucy has produced several champions out of her first two
litters. Puppies from her third litter are just beginning their show
careers this year. She has produced two multiple specialty winning dogs.
Lucy is the third consecutive generation to receive the
ESSFTA's Runner-Up Dam of the Year. Both her mother (CH Birchwood's
Garden Menagerie) and her mother's mother (Brendael's Glowing Moment)
also received this award in previous years.
Lucy has been a great producer, a wonderful mother, and a joy
to live with. |
