Photurity As we did at the 1998 National, CESSCGA is offering a "Photurity" competition at the November National. Entries close on Monday, October 11. Think of the Photurity as a virtual dog show--the dog, not the photo, is judged. Enter the class that applies to the dog when the photo was taken. For example, enter a picture of a 9-12-month puppy bitch in the Photurity 9-12-month puppy bitch class, even if the bitch is now older or even deceased. Enter as many dogs as you'd like. Individual dogs may be entered in more than one class, as long as they meet the criteria for each class. Entry fee is $5 per photo. Each welcome bag will include a ballot. After viewing the photos, which will be prominently displayed at the show site, fill out your ballot, and drop it in the box in the hospitality room. On Thursday evening, Nov. 11, we'll close voting and identify the photos. On Friday, we'll place rosettes on the winning entries. CESSCGA will retain 50% of the entry fees to help with expenses. First Place in each class wins the remaining 50% of entry fees from that class and a Rosette. Best in Photurity receives Springer Wind Chimes and a Rosette. Breeder's Showcase CESSCGA is sponsoring a Breeders' Showcase at ringside on Wednesday afternoon, Nov. 10. Its purpose is to give owners and breeders the opportunity to spend time with other breeders and fanciers to see and put their hands on stud dogs, brood bitches, top-ranked dogs, upcoming stars, etc., in an informally structured setting without having to track down busy exhibitors during the week. Each owner or breeder may provide a 1-page write up about his/her kennel, dogs, and/or breeding program; We will compile these summaries, unedited, into a free handout. Participation with or without dogs is free. Each participant will be allowed up to four stacked crates (but unlimited dogs) and one grooming table in his/her "booth," as well as photos, flyers, and business cards. All participating dogs must be at least 6 months of age. To include your kennel or dogs, send the Breeders' Showcase form and your 1-page summary to Jacque Whidden (address on the form).
